Arizona State Criterium Championship

Today I cycled in my first Criterium...I think I have finally come up with two words to describe my experience today...WOAH BABY! I have MANY many many many thoughts about my experience today...just not sure how to put it into a blog...it was such an amazing and overwhelming experience. I'm still in shock that I'm actually did it.

First a big thank you to Roadie Diva Lori (aka Mermaid Diva), Sonya (aka honorary Redneck Diva), and Chad for coming out today to watch. Your support means the world to me! Thanks also to Matthew, my family, and friends who supported via prayer and text. The texts/emails/phone calls of support are incredible and much appreciated!

Being a part of this was amazing and exciting! The course was perfect (nice and wide!) and the weather was great (a tad chilly).

Screwed up at the start, hung on with the pack for a few laps, finished with no flats and no crashes!

These girls are incredible riders...and they aren't even the cat 1/2s! I have come a long way...but I have a long way to go.

Today was GREAT fun...and even though I was one of the slowest out there...at least I was out there!!!! :) And hey, it was my first criterium...not bad for a newbie!!!
